I'm super excited to show off my nursery to you all.
It's been 6 months in the making and most of the decorations were designed by yours truly! Because I owned some of the supplies I needed for this room before putting it all together, I probably spent between $25-$40 on the decorations-maybe even less. This is our first baby. My husband and I are very excited about his arrival. In fact, once I saw this nursery theme, I really wanted a boy! For some reason, none of the girl themes got me as excited to decorate the room. I first saw decor for this theme at Gordman’s and just fell in love. Then I looked on Pinterest for more ideas which lead me to come up with more of my own. Here’s a link to the Pinterest board I made if you are interested in looking at other ideas I found. I have separate blog posts for most of decoration pieces in this room (I'll put a list of them at the end of this post). In each post, I'll write a description of how it came in the making; what inspired the idea and what I did to make it reality. I've already posted some of them, and others will be coming in the near future. I'll let you know which is which when you get there. Some of the features in this room, however, will be highlighted here, so keep reading!

and Superhero Birth Info Stats
Above the banner is a Baby Info Stats I designed based off of other ones I've seen. No, my baby isn't born yet...so I totally made up those numbers. I'll share with you how accurate I was later on. I've been considering providing the printable for the stats I've made, however, I don't know how to make it editable. If you really like this look however, I could personalize it for you. Just comment below or Contact Me. The CribFor this room, I had one central idea that put it all together, and it was stars. I think Marvel/Superhero fabric is a little too tacky, and a little to expensive. So I found this crib sheet on Target and thought it would be a great tie-in to his room.
Inside his crib, Ethan has two stuffed animals: Lil' Joey and Gale the Whale. Maybe I'll make a costume of Gale one day...I'll let you know if I do. Click here for the tutorial I created for Lil' Joey's costume.
The Lamp
Inside the lamp, I printed out a template I made of stars, printed it out on red and blue paper, cut it out, and taped it to the inside of the lamp. Here is the result:
So cute!! The best part is, you don't see the stars until you turn on the lamp! Makes those late nights a little more fun.
If you would like the template for these stars, keep reading, I'll share it with you at the bottom of the page.
The Bookshelf
This was the last part of the bedroom I finished. As you've seen in other parts of the bedroom, I usually don't highlight just one superhero, but it seemed more appropriate for this part of the room. It's because of the Explore sign and the Captain American Itsy Bitsy toy.
I purchased those are different times and they happened to center around Captain America. In a sense, it all came together that way. It would've have looked weirder if the "Little Boys in Disguise" Printable had the logo of another superhero. On the plus side, Captain America is my favorite superhero. So I'm not complaining.
I just LOVE this little guy. I'm really glad my husband picked this one.
Yes, I did design the "Little Boys are Superheroes in Disguise" print. A post about that will be coming along later. The other photo is the picture we took to announce our pregnancy. I feel that your decor needs to be about you. Family is very important to me and I strongly felt I needed to include family pictures in this nursery. This way Ethan will learn family is important too. I'll also be placing family photos onto the cork board you've seen in other photos. I'm planning on replacing it with an actual family photo once he's born, but in a sense, we're all there. It's crazy to think that he's going to see that as another photo of his parents. It's weird to think of us as parents! My Favorite Part of the Room
It's my favorite because of two things:
1. This chair is VERY comfortable. I've already spent hours sitting in it. 2. On the crib next to the chair, I stuck the remote for the stereo on the dresser with a piece of velcro. That way, late at night, I don't have to get up to turn on the music that'll help him fall asleep.
I am a genius.
